AARP to Endorse Obamacare

Yet another good reason why I refuse to join this liberal mouthpiece organization (from Michelle Malkin):
There have been several premature announcements of an AARP Obamacare endorsement over the past several months, but now it’s just about official.

I heard from a source a few days ago that the endorsement was imminent and that it will be published by AARP tomorrow. The Associated Pressalso says its sources are telling the wire service the same thing.

I’ve been told that the endorsement will argue that senior citizens will actually benefit from the government health care takeover despite a half-billion-dollars in cuts to Medicare and Medicaid because of the House version’s subsidies for medium-income seniors; elimination of the so-called “donut hole” coverage gap; and anticipated reductions in the cost of medications. The AARP will argue to its members that the massive costs of the public option will not increase the deficit.

[Insert laugh track here.]

There will be no mention in the endorsement of the AARP’s own vested financial interests in Obamacare. And there will certainly be no mention of the membership revolt that AARP’s alliances with the Left have caused.

Seniors will get severely screwed by Obamacare, and it's clear that AARP is selling them out.

AARP is a bunch of dummies trying to get other dummies to vote the way their board of directors would like them to vote even if it will not be good for their members.
This group is Liberal Plus and will easily fall for Obama's One World Government.

Living in deep blue Maryland, one finds a rather limited number of insurance providers since our local Dems have systematically legislated most of them out the door with insurance mandates. One of the survivors is AARP which provides insurace for me and the spouse. Getting insurance with AARP was strictly a pocket book decision.

And as to their endorsement of Obamacare, did they ask their enrollees? Heck no. This is like the GOP picking Scozzafava to run in New York. Some of Obama's sycophants at AARP endorsed the plan and it's supposed to represent their membership.

Fat chance. The membership wasn't consulted.
