Turning back “would be an absolute disaster,” House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.) told POLITICO Wednesday. “I can tell you right now, if we don’t pass this bill, I don’t care who you are; if you have a D behind your name and this bill has not been passed, you are in tremendous peril next year.”So, if Democrats don't get a health care bill passed that nationalizes 1/6th of the economy and takes personal freedom away from every American while subjecting our future generations to crippling debt and poor health care, THAT will be a disaster?
I don't think so.
My guess is he's got it 180 degrees out-of-phase. If you have a "D" after your name you're already in trouble for 2010, but you pass this bill and you'll have a "U" after your name instead - Unemployed.
