How to Screw Up LAX On a Big Travel Day

Try this:
A man and a woman were questioned by police at Los Angeles International Airport Wednesday night after an argument prompted her to toss his two duffel bags from their car, setting off a bomb scare.

A bomb squad from the airport police responded to the scene around 6:30 p.m. when a witness flagged down police after seeing the bags tossed into the roadway from a passing vehicle.

Police briefly shut down Sky Way access road, which feeds from southbound Sepulveda Boulevard into World Way, the main road connecting the terminals.

A man and woman in a Mercedes-Benz sport utility vehicle had gotten into an argument as he was rushing to catch a plane, said Sgt. Jim Holcomb of the Los Angeles Airport Police Department.

Witnesses saw the woman stop the car, throw two bags onto the roadway, and then drive on, Holcomb said.

The couple then continued around the airport, ended their argument, then returned to get the luggage so he could fly away.

The bomb squad was called and the bags were cut open as police looked for evidence of explosives.

The couple was questioned for more than a hour, but police decided not to make any arrests.

The man missed his flight.
So did a lot of other people. Idiots.
