Some Random Shots From Day 2 in Las Vegas

Busy day in Vegas today. Walked a million miles and visited my wife's favorite shopping areas. If the hotel is attacked by terrorists today we'll be in good shape. There's about a million Marines in town for the Marine Corp Ball which took place tonight at Bally's, across the street from The Flamingo. Many of them are staying in our hotel and this evening as we left the place was crawling with men in dress blues and women in ball gowns. As we returned they were all coming back from the event, and it was a pretty impressive bunch of men and women.

Here are some views we saw along the way. First, the view out our 19th floor room:

I traveled 1,000 feet up to the top of Stratosphere and got some shots of the city as the final rays of sunlight were disappearing in the west.


We then went walking down at the south end of the Strip and I got some more hotel shots.



We made our traditional stop in the M&M's World Store where you'll find Kyle Busch's Sprint Cup car on the 4th floor.
The grand finale of the evening was the fountain show at Bellagio.
