A Democrat Friend Offers a One-Year Report Card on Obama

I have a friend that I've known for way too many years, but hadn't seen for quite awhile, and had a chance to reconnect with him on Facebook. He's a recently retired teacher now in the tax preparation business. He's also a Democrat, and a rather fervent one at that. We've had some playful sparring over stuff I've posted on this site (that feeds through to Facebook).

Earlier today I posted CNN's new polling numbers on Obama (down 7 points in three weeks) and in the process of a little bantering I asked him to post his thoughts about Obama's first year from his more liberal perspective. He took me up on it and I'd like you to read it.

Politics is important, but friendship is more important. He also writes well and has a lot of interesting posts at his site. It's worth a look.
