A new poll by Rasmussen Reports finds that despite -- or perhaps because of -- legislative progress on President Obama's 2009 keynote issue of healthcare reform, among other issues, this autumn, the number of adult Americans calling themselves Democrats fell by almost 2 whole points just in the month of November. One thing I've noticed is the dearth of Obama/Biden stickers on cars. During the campaign they were everywhere and usually the supporters of the winning candidate tend to leave them on their cars to show everyone else they were on the winning side. I had a Bush/Cheney 2000 sticker on my car for 4 years.
A year after hope, change and jubilation filled the party ranks, those Americans considering themselves Democrats is now only 36%.
That's the lowest percentage in 48 months.
The percentage calling themselves Republican is lower -- 33.1%. However, unlike the Democrats, that number is increasing, up from 31.9% the previous month.
Those adults saying they're not affiliated with any party is up a half-point to 30.8.
I can't help but think that many who had the Obama/Biden stickers have since removed them, not because the election is over, but because they don't want to get blamed for today's mess.

All of the Obama/Biden bumper stickers got crushed during "Cash for Clunkers" program.
