The GOP Better Embrace the Tea Party Movement....Fast

Based on this Rasmussen Poll, the GOP had better get on the Tea Party bandwagon:
Running under the Tea Party brand may be better in congressional races than being a Republican.

In a three-way Generic Ballot test, the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds Democrats attracting 36% of the vote. The Tea Party candidate picks up 23%, and Republicans finish third at 18%. Another 22% are undecided.

Among voters not affiliated with either major party, the Tea Party comes out on top. Thirty-three percent (33%) prefer the Tea Party candidate, and 30% are undecided. Twenty-five percent (25%) would vote for a Democrat, and just 12% prefer the GOP.

Among Republican voters, 39% say they’d vote for the GOP candidate, but 33% favor the Tea Party option.
Now I'm sure some libertarian types are thinking that this is finally their opportunity to go with a third party option.

Wrong. A third party will not win but will guarantee the election of Democrats.

The best possibly outcome is to make sure the GOP and Tea Party activists can work together. A Tea Party organization blessing on a GOP candidate should go a long way to positioning that candidate for a win. Both sides may have to give a bit to work with one another, but it can be done.

There is no central Tea Party leadership and therefore won't be an actual Tea Party political party. However, it can cause lots of problems if they can't figure out how to get along with the GOP.

And the Republican Party is DOOMED in the next elections if they don't produce some quality people to vote for, especially those that oppose more taxes, are against increasing welfare programs, and are against a national health care program for everyone. Our nation has got to stop deficit spending and should also realize we can't the policeman for all the worlds problems.

The GOP had better figure out that the TEA Party wants Conservatives!!!

Stuff like Gingrich pulled in NY-23 with his endorsement of Scozzafava, telling everyone to vote for whoever has the R next to their name, will not cut it.

The GOP has been and remains willing to compromise it's principles.

The TEA Party is not willing to compromise it's principles.

The problem here is the speed with which The Left has become The Establishment and has subsequently moved to dismantle the Constitution. The correct thing for the TEA Party to do would be to build its base through elections even if there were a few losses to begin with; unfortunately, the USA will not last that long. It has only taken The Establishment Left less than one year to bring us to the point where we are now and at that rate the USA will not survive another three years.
