Remember when we had to change all of the propellant formulas in hair spray, air conditioners, and all kinds of other products because the CFC's contained therein were said to be destroying the ozone layer and creating a hole over the Arctic?

I think it was the Antarctic--and I think it is still there.
So we went to huge expense, denied asthmatics help they need, did no good, and now it turns out, we did harm.
And we have yet another reason to say "yeah, right" EVERY TIME somebody starts a shrill screech about what we must gots to do.
I don't believe they should legislate everything, but I really don't like people spraying me with their stuff like hairspray. It's kind of like people who don't care if you don't smoke. If it doesn't bother them, they don't think it will bother anyone else.
Of course, these reports could be wrong.
More study is needed. Especially if it contradicts "the narrative."
