President Obama spoke 4,582 words in his primetime Afghanistan war speech at West Point last night. On Twitter last night Erick Erickson of Red State also mentioned the lack of the word "win". We know that Obama is "uncomfortable with the concept of victory". Based on that, he should have pulled everybody out of Afghanistan. It makes no sense to send additional troops to a war you don't want to win.
He said “al Qaeda” 22 times.
He mentioned the “Taliban” 12 times.
And here’s how many times the Democratic chief executive used the word “victory” — 0.
That telling omission says more than anything about Obama’s 322d day in office when he gave his first major address as the United States’ commander-in-chief.

No Room for Victory

We haven't seen or heard anything yet which will give us a reason to hope for a victory in the war brewing in Afghanastan as it pertains to Obama. This war action will be worse than what happened in Korea and Vietnam if we don't have a heart to win and our leadership is even worse than we are. Our military leadership asked for a minimum of 40,000 troops and what does Obama give them.............30,000. What a sorry Commander In Chief!
I found it ironic to see a militarily blind leader in front of unexperienced youth in uniform! I believe its been a dream of Obamas for a long long time. Kind of like his little Americorps vision during the campaign, only more dangerous now! I can't say I was moved by the enthusiasm of the crowd either.
