CNN's Anderson Cooper Gets a Taste of His Own Medicine

CNN's self-indulgent anchor Anderson Cooper is one of the lefties who promoted the word "teabaggers" to describe participants in the Tax Day Tea Party protests. The anchor was quite proud of himself for using the homosexual slang to describe his fellow citizens who simply wanted the government to leave them alone. To my knowledge CNN never disciplined Anderson for his frequent use of the offensive term.

Well, maybe they did. They paired Anderson with trashy comic Kathy Griffin for their New Year's Eve broadcast and now Cooper gets to enjoy the notoriety of being with someone else who embarrassed the network:
Following her very controversial F-bomb-dropping New Year's Eve hosting gig, CNN executives have decided Kathy Griffin will NOT be getting a 2011 invite. "She was a total embarrassment to the network that calls themselves 'The Most Trusted Name in News.' Even Anderson (Cooper, her co-host) thinks it's time to say goodbye to Kathy," a CNN insider tells me.

Not only did the potty-mouthed redhead drop the F bomb on live TV, she also made not-so-funny jokes about needing a "bump" of cocaine and asked Cooper if he pleasured himself while looking in the mirror. As sexy as the Silver Fox is ... that's just too much, Kathy.

Even worse than the comedienne's desperate need to shock was the fact that the show was a ratings bomb, as it fell far behind the family-friendly 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve' on ABC.
Hey CNN, maybe a clean slate would be even better. Drop Cooper while you're at it.

It's almost fun seeing CNN go down the toilet. What used to be a fairly reliable news organization is now a laughing stock of the media.

Somewhat off-topic, but it was almost painful to watch (and hear) Dick Clark on New Year's eve. I understand nostalgia, but it was all I could do to keep from switching to Fox. His stroke has seriously impaired him; he needs to be encouraged to quietly retire with dignity...

Dick Clark should have retired years ago!

He never used the phrase "tea baggers" once on air. He joked with the phrase "tea bagging" on one occasion, and the tea partiers had brought that on themselves when early organizers and participants used inadvertently silly and sexually dirty sounding slogans like "tea bag Obama". If a liberal group had made a similar good they would have brought the same sort of mockery down on themselves.

You're too easily proven wrong, Anonymous. Cooper: "It's hard to talk when you're teabagging" - April 15, 2009. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/15/anderson-cooper-its-hard_n_187318.html

He's an idiot.
