A man riding a motorcycle with a child was taken to the hospital after the right training wheel got caught underneath a tire of a parked truck, according to the California Highway Patrol.Would it be presumptuous to suggest that if you're not confidant enough in your skills to ride without training wheels that perhaps it would not be a good idea to take a child with you?
Initial reports to CHP indicated the child was four years old. The child was unharmed. The man and the child were each wearing a helmet.
According to CHP officer Dunn, the man and the child were on a Honda 50 with training wheels. The motorcycle was traveling down Greenbrier Road in Cowan Heights, an unincorporated section of Santa Ana, when the right training wheel got caught underneath the tire of the parked truck, Dunn said.
The motorcycle stopped and flipped. The man wound up under the cab of the truck and the child was under the bike, Dunn said.
