Wind and Fire

A Santa Ana wind event is kicking into high gear here in Southern California, and what usually follows wind is fire. I'm hearing Orange County units have now been dispatched to assist Riverside County in handling a fire along the Ortega Highway. The helicopter was reporting about a 50 acre fire in heavy fuel with very long flame lengths, moving quickly in the direction of Orange County. It could get pretty wild for the next day or so as long as these winds last and until the rains get here on Sunday.
