Apparently Obama Would Let His Kids Die if He Didn't Have Health Insurance

Mark Knoller of CBS tweets this from the health care summit:

Obama recalls time years ago when Malia and Sasha got sick: "I remember thinking...what would have happened if I didn’t have reliable h/c?"

Well, Mr. President, I would hope you would take them to the doctor like everyone else would. When your kids are sick you get them treatment, you don't make your decision based on your insurance status.

And the language he uses is also incorrect. If he lives in the United States he has reliable health care. He may not have insurance, but he does have health care. Emergency rooms are required to provide care regardless of insurance. The notion that some people don't have health care is simply wrong and is used to demagogue the issue.
