Great Moments in Black History Month
The folks at the NBC cafeteria have red faces today after advertising a special Black History Month lunch of fried chicken, collared greens, black-eyed peas and cornbread. A member of Jimmy Fallon's house band took a photo of the menu sign. You can see it at the link.

Sounds like lunch on any given day when my mother had her way.
(Except I don't think she like Collards--we always had spinach, swiss chard turnip tops, beet tops .... just about everything but collards.
I tried cooking collards once a few months ago--probably didn't do it right, but decided not to repeat the experiment.
