Special Election Day in Mission Viejo

For any Mission Viejo readers, don't forget that today is the day of the special recall election so be sure to get out and vote. I'm voting "Yes" on the recall and voting for my friend Dave Leckness to replace the soon-to-be ousted mayor, and not for this guy who seems to have some issues that would make him a dubious "reform" candidate.

I imagine that turnout will be very light - probably only those who have been paying attention to things around here. It's an odd time for an election and I'll bet if you surveyed people in the grocery store most wouldn't even know it's going on. We'll see when the numbers are tallied.

UPDATE: ELECTION TURNOUT was 1.13% as of 11am according to the OC Registrar.

That's pretty weak, but not completely unexpected. According to an OC Register article they happened to check the polling place where I vote and only 1 person had showed up so far (we'll be there later).
