137 Years of Popular Science Magazine
Popular Science and Google have teamed together to put all 137 years of their issues online and available for searching and reading.Right now it's a keyword search only, but I'm sure eventually they'll make it so you can search individual issues. Science and popular culture fans should have fun cruising through the old issues.

That should prove interesting indeed. It's not good news for Obama, either. Since my dad's death, I've been going through old magazines and throwing them away. My dad kept everything and had Popular Science and similar magazines going back to the late forties.
What was facinating for me, looking through some of them, were the predictions about solar energy by this and that date, how energy would be transformed, how we'd all be driving electric cars soon! -- and that sort of thing. The ideas have been out there for a long time, but the dreams didn't pan out.
The green revolution that Obama promises in his hope&changey way are really such old bottles of snake oil.
We could be living on air right now! (if it weren't for all those rich oil companies!)
Yeah, right.
Oh, boy... I hope my husband doesn't see this. He'll not take his eyes off the computer screen for WEEKS! ;-)
