Barbara "Dumb as a Box of Rocks" Boxer Gets a Primary Challenger

And it's not one of the usual political characters:

Pioneering political blogger Mickey Kaus took out papers filed to run for U.S. Senate in California, he told LA Weekly. The Venice resident said he'll run this year against Barbara Boxer for her seat.

I read Mickey's blog pretty regularly, and although he's running as a Democrat, he's nowhere near the lefty extreme that Boxer is. If Democrats end up keeping the seat we could do a lot worse than Kaus.
