Harry Reid's Family Involved in Accident

I don't care much for Reid, but I don't wish this kind of trouble on anyone:
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s wife broke her back and neck and his daughter suffered a neck injury in an auto accident, a spokesman said late Thursday afternoon.

“Their injuries are non-life threatening,” Jon Summers, Reid’s spokesman, said in a statement. The Nevada Democrat’s family was traveling along a “Washington, DC, highway” when “their vehicle was rear-ended by a semi-truck,” Summers said.
According to Special Report Reid has already left the hospital and is back at the Senate in health care meetings. If I did that with my wife in the hospital after a bad wreck I'd probably have a broken neck too.

You hate to bring politics into this, but that's my job, and if I don't do it somebody else surely will. Mrs. Reid is 69 and the injuries she suffered will probably require a long and difficult rehabilitation. Harry Reid just filed for re-election the other day, but I now wonder if this will be the thing that prompts him to decide to retire instead. He would certainly be doing the Dems a favor by doing that, and it would probably be the best thing for Mrs. Reid as well.

None of us wants bad things to happen, but we will be glad if they are voted out of office. They will still get their salaries and benefits, so let 'em go!

I hope Mrs. Reed, and their daughter heal quickly.

I pray for a full and speedy recovery without complications or lasting after affects for the injured, jail time for the truck driver (I have a CDL, I am licensed to say that), and an early retirement for the "Senator".
