Timing of Rep. Massa Revelations Becoming a Problem for Pelosi

What did Nancy Pelosi know and when did she know it?
Aides to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi knew of concerns about the behavior of former Rep. Eric Massa months earlier than Pelosi previously acknowledged, a senior Democratic leadership aide said Wednesday.

In October, Massa's chief of staff told Pelosi's office the then-congressman was living in a townhouse with some of his congressional aides and that he had used "strong" language that made them feel uncomfortable, the leadership aide said. The Massa aide, Joe Racalto, also voiced concern "about the way Massa runs the office" and added he had asked the congressman to move out of the townhouse, the aide said.

Last week, Pelosi indicated her staff had learned of concerns about Massa only in February, when more detailed allegations of sexual harassment were brought to the office of House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D., Md.).

Isn't it curious that all this came out just in time to knock this guy out of Congress right before he voted against Obamacare? Sort of reminds me of the Mark Foley mess which Democrats knew about months before the 2006 election but waited until shortly before the election to release, thus maximizing the damage against Republicans.

Stephen Hayes of The Weekly Standard has been tweeting on the subject this morning, and here are some of this thoughts:
What's with all the lefty tantrums about coverage of Massa? Don't remember complaints about standards of journalism when it was Mark Foley.

Curious that calls to stop covering Massa coincide w/revelations about what Nancy Pelosi (and her staff) knew about Massa's behavior.

I'm sick of Massa, too, but seems to me that journos wld want answers to those questions before moving on.
We mustn't embarrass the Queen.

If the "journos" were objective, yes they would.

They're not, and keep prooving they're not.
