3 1/2 Months

That's how long it's been since we last saw our daughter in person.  We took her back to college on January 2nd so she could spend the last four weeks of her Christmas break knocking out a couple of general ed classes and hanging out with her friends instead of being bored at our house.  Since then the schedule just hasn't worked for a visit, but we're changing that today.  When we found out she was going to sing in a special choir concert complete with chamber orchestra tonight in Petaluma we figured it was time to head north, so off we go.

I'm leaving the laptop at home so blogging through Sunday night will be very light and may only consist of a few cellphone posts.  I think I'll spend my spare time reading a book for a change.  Photos and other stuff will be posted when I get back.
