The Wacky Professor Versus The Sarahcuda

Liberalism doesn't tolerate other opinions, especially in universities:
A California state senator along with some students and faculty members at California State University are demanding to know how much Sarah Palin will be paid for a speech there.

She’s scheduled to speak at the CSU Stanislaus 50th anniversary celebration June 25, which is being hosted by the CSU Stanislaus Foundation.

Palin earns fees as high as $100,000 for her speeches.

“We are demanding that the CSU Foundation disclose the full amount paid for Mrs. Palin's speaking fee and all other expenses associated with the contract that both parties have entered,” CSU Stanislaus student leader Alicia Lewis said in a statement.

Zoology Prof. Patrick Kelly, who started an anti-Palin Facebook page, said in a statement, “The Foundation’s board of directors are not only dismissive of the need to involve faculty, staff and students in the selection of the speaker, they are also tone deaf to the mission of our university.”

A professor has time to start an anti-Palin Facebook page? Is she going to text all her girlfriends too?

The universities in California will allow any leftist nut that comes along speak at their schools, all with the blessing of the liberal professors. As I recall Cindy Sheehan spoke at my daughter's campus a couple of years ago. I don't remember anyone setting up an anti-Moonbat site for her.

This isn't about the money, it's about conservative ideas and how unwelcome they are on California campuses.
