Anti-Illegal Immigration Group to Rally in San Juan Capistrano

This could end up being pretty interesting given that San Juan Capistrano, home of the famous mission with the annually returning swallows, has a very heavy Hispanic population:
SJC Americans, an activist group opposed to illegal immigration, plans to rally Saturday in San Juan Capistrano to support a controversial Arizona law that gives increased powers to police to detain people suspected of being in the country illegally.

The rally is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon at Camino Capistrano and Del Obispo Street....

Several cities and athletes have threatened to boycott events in Arizona and products and services originating in the state.

"We're seeing a lot of outcry with this 'boycott Arizona' movement," said Tony Brown, a leader of SJC Americans. "There's been a lot of that stuff going on, but our efforts are to counteract the boycott movement with a 'buycott Arizona' movement."

His group is encouraging people to visit buycottarizona.com to learn more about opposition to the boycotts.
That's going to do wonders for traffic in the area because that's a very busy intersection right off the I-5 freeway. I hope they have a good turnout.
