After 25 days in Toshiba/Windows 7 purgatory I've finally be reunited with my Fujitsu/Vista laptop that took a little vacation to Fry's repair land. The fan in the heat sink stopped sinking heat and after a little while that thing got HOT! It also sounded like a diesel truck when it was first starting up.
All better now.
When I started it up there was a strange, cryptic message about some island, a plane crash, and "smokey". I don't know what that was all about.
