LA Times Poll: 94% Say City Should Mind Their Own Business *UPDATED

The Los Angeles Times polled their online readers regarding the boycott against Arizona that was passed by the City Council. The question: Was the L.A. City Council right to pass a boycott of Arizona? Here's what the readers had to say:
Memo to LA City Council: Ouch.

UPDATE:  With nearly 21,500 votes now cast the "No. The city should mind its own business" answer still leads with 92.9%.  I also find it interesting that in the comments we have someone from the LA Times attempting to discredit their own poll based on some attention it got from The John and Ken talk radio show.  If these polls don't mean anything, why run them?

Granted, online polls are not scientific and they can be gamed, but they can be gamed by both sides.  So far it doesn't appear that there's any groundswell of support for the boycott showing up in this poll.

Our unscientific poll also showed the power that talk radio has to motivate online voters. See http://www.kfiam640.com/pages/jk2010.html. That's not to say that the boycott is a political winner. I'm just saying the results of our poll should be taken with a grain of salt, as one should with any online poll.

There used to be a fella named George Bush that was always blamed for everything from hurricanes to 9-11. He's not around any more so it's talk radio's fault. I don't know if the L.A. City Council vote was unanimous, but here are a few grains of salt to rub in Mr. Healey's wounds...

ED P. REYES, PAUL KREKORIAN, DENNIS P. ZINE, TOM LABONGE, PAUL KORETZ, TONY CARDENAS, RICHARD ALARCON, BERNARD C. PARKS, JAN PERRY, HERB J. WESSON, JR., BILL ROSENDAHL, GREIG SMITH, ERIC GARCETTI, JOSE HUIZAR, JANICE HAHN

P.S. to Mr. Healey,

Please take my previous comment with a grain of salt. I listen to talk radio.

Ooooo, so the Holy Coast caught the attention of the great LA Times!

Reminds me of the old saying, "If you throw a rock into a pack of wolves, the one that yelps is the one that got hit."

Ouch, Mr Healy.

Those of us in So. California can easily help fix the L.A. boycott.
Just avoid driving in L.A., and don't purchase anything which they sell or manufacture!!!!
