El Rushbo and Elton

There was quite a party in Palm Beach:
It's wedding bells for Rush Limbaugh – for the fourth time.

The conservative firebrand, 59, exchanged vows with Kathryn Rogers – a blond bombshell half his age – in a lavish Hawaiian-themed wedding bash headlined by none-other-than Sir Elton John Saturday in Florida.

It's an odd pairing considering El Rushbo's history of anti-gay commentary on his conservative radio show and the openly gay "Tiny Dancer" singer's longtime commitment to gay rights.
The left is having real problems with the fact that Rush Limbaugh, no fan of gay "rights", would hire Elton John to play at his wedding, but I don't find that unusual at all. For the left, politics triumphs everything including talent, and that's why so many conservatives find themselves blackballed in Hollywood. That's also why so many lefty performers can't seem to get in front of a microphone without saying something negative about their political opponents (see Paul McCartney's comments from the other night).  Their emotional maturity level just won't let them behave like adults.

Conservatives value talent and politics are kept out of places where they don't belong. Rush clearly enjoys Elton's talent and was willing to pay the $1 million dollar fee to have him perform. The night was about a wedding, not about gay "rights" or other political issues.

And, apparently, Elton didn't feel the need to bash the many conservatives in the audience. He knows where his money was coming from.

I find it interesting that the left is critical of Rush, suggesting that he's a hypocrite, for using Elton, but no one on the left is criticizing Elton for playing for a room full of conservatives.
