The government is expected to announce on Wednesday that three-quarters of the oil from the Deepwater Horizon leak has already evaporated, dispersed, been captured or otherwise eliminated — and that much of the rest is so diluted that it does not seem to pose much additional risk of harm.The end of the world will have to wait for another day.
Now somebody explain why the drilling moratorium is still in place until the end of November?

I have a hard time believing that all of this oil is "gone". I would still expect that the ocean floor has a huge covering of oil and tar balls which will cause havoc for quite some time. BP and Obama would like us to believe that
everything is just about back to normal.
BP and Ubumma would like us to believe that this news is the result of their "prompt" and "timely" response. In fact, I heard some administration talking head say so this morning.
Imagine how much faster this could have been cleaned up if the administration actually was there on day one.
