It's Not That Obvious

White House spokeshole Bill Burton responded today to the poll that said 24% of Americans think Obama is a Muslim:
"The president is obviously a Christian. He prays everyday."
Obviously? By what measure would we use to come to the conclusion that he's "obviously" a Christian? His weekly church attendance? His 20 years in a church led by an anti-Semitic white-hating nutcase pastor?  His support for Christian-themed events such as the National Prayer Breakfast? His pro-abortion position?

If it was that "obvious" I don't think 24% of the people would think he's Muslim.  In another poll 18% think he's Muslim while 43% don't know what he is.

I'm not sure he does either.

transparent

as in, 'He is obviously on
vacation.'

One thing is obvious. I've seen pictures of Obama taking off his shoes and getting ready to bow down for Muslim Prayer's with a group of Muslim's in Washington, DC. If he wasn't a Muslim, why would he be doing all of this? And this was since he has become president.

He's obviously a Christian, just as Obamacare is obviously good for Americans.

What Christian would insist than an unobtrusive Christian symbol be covered up when he accepts an invitation to speak at a Catholic university?

Why doesn't he give birthday gifts? (It's against Muslim tradition...) Why does he hit the gym on Christmas morning (also making others go to work on his behalf...) instead of spending time with family and/or going to church?

Why does he make fun of people "clinging to" their religion?

Why did he want a "secular Christmas" in the White House?

Why didn't he want to attend a National Day of Prayer event?

What compassionate Christian would deny medical care to a baby born alive during a partial birth abortion?

He may be simply a Muslim sympathizer rather than a Muslim, and only God knows what's really in his heart, but the American people aren't stupid. All the commentators yesterday on TV and elsewhere, who seemed so perplexed, neglected to mention the above things. Actions speak louder than words, and we're watching his actions.

Best wishes,
Laura
