A Plan to Save the Democrats

Jim Geraghty reports that a Democrat advisor best known for being the first one to call John Kerry "Mr. President", has an idea to save November for the Democrats:

Bob Shrum has an ingenious plan to save the midterm elections for the Democrats: “Obama should reset the stage for the midterms with a major speech that redraws the dividing lines.”

You know why a major speech from Obama could have such a big impact? Because he’s never tried something like that before, and the American people have never seen anything like it.
