Somebody may have said this previously, but I don't know who so I'm claiming credit for it until somebody else does. I was thinking about two stories -
Obama's approval of the mosque in NYC based on religious freedoms in our Constitution, and the nutty pastor in Florida who wants to
hold a Koran burning. The Muslims in NYC have a right to build their mosque and the pastor in Florida has a right to burn his books, and that brings me to the thought of the day:
Just because you have a right to do something doesn't mean it's the right thing to do.
Though both have the right to do what they're doing, it's not the right thing for either of them to do. Both are unnecessarily provocative and neither promotes the cause they claim to support. In a perfect world both would be mature enough to understand that.
Obviously, we don't live in a perfect world.
