UPDATE: Now that I'm back at the computer I can flesh this out a bit. Unfortunately I didn't have my good camera with me so I had to rely on the cellphone. That's why the image is a little fuzzy - it doesn't zoom well.
We hit the In-and-Out at El Toro and Paseo de Valencia for lunch, and as we were walking up to the building I could hear the roar of many, many motorcycles. From inside the building I could see OCFA Engine 22, Truck 22, and the Battalion Chief in the parking lot of the old Circuit City across the street. I thought they were working a cut-and-rescue traffic accident.
Turns out they were in position to salute the hundreds of bikers who were coming down El Toro Road as part of a 9/11 tribute. Really fun to watch and I wish I'd had the good camera with me. There were a lot of great shots out there.
