Political Headline of the Day

From Fox News:
Pelosi Calling Bush Plan 'Obama Middle-Income Tax Cuts'
I believe it was Chris Dodd who earlier tried to call the expiration of the Bush tax cuts the "Bush tax hike". That never caught on so I guess Pelosi is trying something new.

It won't work either. Any voters who are paying attention understand that the only reason the Bush tax cuts were not permanent is because the Democrats wouldn't allow it, and the only way to get any tax cuts passed was to include a sunset provision.

Not only does Pelosi have the wrong president associated with the taxes, but calling them a "tax cut" is also incorrect because if an extension is passed nobody's taxes will be cut. Instead, current rates will continue. The whole thing is highly misleading and designed only to fool the voters.

Pelosi also offered the falsehood that "tax cuts for the rich haven't created any jobs, but have only added to the deficit".  That's complete baloney because much of those tax cuts went to small business owners.  If those owners are not hiring now it's because of the terrible uncertainty they face over the issue of taxes and costs from Obamacare.

So they are giving millionaires a break for MY benefit? Wow! I guess I never understood it that way.

Amy - it's millionaires who hire people like you. I'm guessing you never got a job from a poor person.

Oh, Rick, you are so simple. CLEARLY it's a tax CUT. Remember--they say that cutting the size of of a planned/projected/
suggested increase in spending is a "dramatic and unconscionable" cut.
