Literally:
Not cool, people. Disagree with him all you want, work hard to stop his policies, and do what you can to hurt him politically. But don't try to hurt him physically. He's still the president.
While the liberals rejoiced with the Iraqi threw his shoes at President Bush, I find this kind of behavior very disturbing. Our politics don't need to sink to this level.
No word yet on what the book was. It looks too small to have been written by a conservative.

Another example of how the GOP/Christian fusion of the past 50 years is so dangerous. Now, literally. :)
Kind of looks like a Photo Shop moment to me.
No, it really happened. There's video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gp4VCTRAOJk&feature=player_embedded
The picture you have posted doesn't look anything like the video.
The picture is Photo Shop.
The photo is being run on Reuters here: http://news.yahoo.com/nphotos/slideshow/photo//101010/ids_photos_ts/r948665138.jpg/
They don't generally run photoshops. There's a big difference in the angle of the video and the still shot, but I don't think it's faked.
And here's the UK Daily Mail story: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1319448/Obama-book-thrown-Philadelphia-rally.html
Oh come on Rick. Like Reuters is the paragon of good journalism. Not too long ago MSM was all about global warming. How did that work out?
Look at the angle of the book. In the video, what ever it was came from down in front and went past the president's left side. It never went over his head. In the photo the object is seen sailing through the air from behind.
Photo Shop. I don't care who's publishing it.
And why isn't anyone reporting this? MSM could use this against Obama's opposition like our new friend Elliott Morgan, the probably out-of-work actor. But nothing is airing, not even on talk radio.
From Mark Knoller, CBS White House Correspondent's Twitter feed at 7:27 am: "US Secret Service says this morning it was aware of the book thrown at Pres. Obama yesterday at that rally in Philadlephia.
Secret Service says it interviewed book thrower & deemed there was no threat intended - he just wanted Obama to have a copy of his book."
http://twitter.com/#!/markknoller/
Additional from Knoller: "A spokesman calls the book thrower "overexuberant." He exercised bad judgment, said a USSS spokesman, but was not arrested or charged."
Actually, it is easy to fake a video using video editors. It is done all the time in movies. I am surprised this is not being reported. As far as Elliot is concerned, violence historically comes from the left not the "GOP/Christian" fusion. It is time to stop maligning people.
