Which Past Election Does 2010 Look Like?

Many say 1994 when the GOP gained 52 seats and took both houses of Congress.  One blogger looks back a little farther to 1942, a year the GOP gained 47 seats but a year that has many similarities to 2010.

I still think the GOP will do better than 1994 in terms of numbers, but the 1942 election might provide a basis for understanding what's going on.  You can read his analysis here.
