Sarah Palin's Alaska

Just watched the 1st episode of "Sarah Palin's Alaska".  (It will repeat at 9 pm PST tonight on TLC if you missed the first showing.)

Amazing scenery and I'm pretty sure many lefty heads will explode as they realize that Sarah Palin is actually human.  If I was in the tourism industry I'd start making plans to book a lot of people into various Alaskan cities. This series will do wonders for Alaska's economy and TLC's ratings, not to mention Sarah Palin's image.

Well, Rick, the last I looked, Sarah's image looked really, really fine to me.

Oh. You meant "politically".

Damaged goods, nothing more than a circus act. And I'm as conservative as they come.

What pathetic people.

I won't claim to have been every where in Alaska--it is a BIG place. But I've been to a lot of places in it and with the exception of one gas station and garage in Tok, it is a wonderful place with wonderful people. My favorites (before I "met" Piper Palin) was the lady on the desk in the Hotel the night we arrived in Fairbanks (she found a way to get us all beds and baths when we arrived, three sick kids, no water in the water tank in the camper, no propane in the propane tank, damn little gasoline in the gas tanks, toilet tank full-to-over-flowing, all the clothes we weren't wearing in plastic trash bags, molding or rotting--stinking in any case)>

(I got everybody's clothes but mine into another bag, left them soaking in the bathtub (wife, three little girls) while I went out and did laundry, bought propane and gasoline, did laundry, took on fresh water and dumped the toilet tank. Did I mention "did laundry"? Or "washed a four-inch-thick layer of mud off the vertical rear surface of the camper body"? And did laundry.)

The family at th4e pancake house the next morning were pretty good to us too.

I love everything about Alaska.

Except some of the people in Tok. And the Murcowski's and their friends--what was that insane woman with the ethics things named. Never mind, I don't really care.

right?

or is that a bigoted sweeping statement?

do you really want anyone to read your thoughts? try being civil. you might find people actually listening to you.

BTW: anonymous might be someone wanting to post quickly w/o the tedious log-in process.

kindness and thoughtfulness are not weaknesses.

4.9 million? That’s a fraction as far as ratings go. So it seems NOBODY watched her show essentially...

Lisa - how many people watched you on Sunday night? THAT'S the definition of "NOBODY".
