Today's Reading List

Two book recommendations for you.  George W. Bush's book Decision Points officially released today so if you order it they'll ship it immediately.  Bush uses the book to talk about the tough decisions in his life and his presidency and overall the book has gotten great reviews from all but the Bush Derangement Syndrome crowd.

Secondly, another book from a conservative will come out next week - the new book from newly re-elected Texas Governor Rick Perry, a guy who has led the most successful state in the union for the last 10 years.  Here's what the governor has to say:
We are fed up with being overtaxed and overregulated. We are tired of being told how much salt we can put on our food, what windows we can buy for our house, what kind of cars we can drive, what kinds of guns we can own, what kind of prayers we are allowed to say and where we can say them, what political speech we are allowed to use to elect candidates, what kind of energy we can use, what kind of food we can grow, what doctor we can see, and countless other restrictions on our right to live as we see fit.
It's gonna be a good read. Perry has not been shy about his views that the government is treading on ground best left to the states, and if the government doesn't wake up and correct its actions soon, Texas might just decide to leave.
