Global Warming Ravages Minnesota

Just as the UN Global Warming Conference was wrapping up in Cancun where there have been several 100 year low temperature records set, global warming ravaged Minnesota with 17" of snow and a flattened football stadium:
The already delayed Vikings game could now be moved to TCF Bank Stadium on the University of Minnesota Campus after the Metrodome roof collapsed Sunday.

Roy Terwilliger, Chairman of the Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission, tells 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS the panels of the Metrodome roof started giving way around 5 a.m. and deflating after a weekend snowstorm that dumped more than 17 inches of snow on the city. Some other areas of the state saw as much as 21 inches of snow. It was one of the fifth largest snowstorm in state history.

Terwilliger says there is currently snow on the Metrodome field and the already delay Vikings game is now in question once again. Dome officials held a conference call at 8 a.m. with the NFL and the teams to discuss how to move forward.

NFL Spokesperson Greg Aiello says the league has been informed by stadium officials that the Metrodome will not be available Monday or Tuesday. He says they are considering a number of options including holding the game at TCF Bank Stadium on the University of Minnesota campus or at another domed NFL stadium.

The game, which was originally scheduled for Sunday at noon, was postponed until Monday because the New York Giants are stranding in Kansas City, unable to get into the Twin Cities.
By the way, it's supposed to be 81 and sunny in the OC today. Everyone must have shipped their global warming to us.
