Governator Calls Special Session, Dems Laugh

The Governator is planning to go out swinging, but it won't make much difference:

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has declared a fiscal emergency and is asking lawmakers to meet in a special session to save the state $9.9 billion over the next two years.

Schwarzenegger on Monday unveiled a plan that relies largely on cuts to health care and social services for the poor.

The Dems aren't going to help him make cuts because they've got Gov. Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown coming into office on January 3. Thanks to having crazies in control of our entire state government, and the voters stupidly approving ballot measures that will make it easier to raise taxes, the Dems will simply wait Arnold out and then let Brown raise taxes on everything that moves.
