Big Missile Launching Out of Vandenberg AFB Today

UPDATE:  A couple of photos of the launch here.

A Delta IV Heavy, like the one shown on the right below, is scheduled to launch from Vandenberg AFB near Lompoc, CA at 1:08 pm this afternoon.  If the weather's clear it should be a pretty spectacular sight visible to most of the Central and Southern coast.

Night launches are really something, but the window for this polar orbit flight is in the middle of the day.
