The Envelope Please...

In most years I care not a whit about the Oscars because I usually haven't seen any of the films nominated for Best Picture.  This year is different:

Nominated in the feature film category were "Black Swan," "The Fighter," "Inception," "The Kids Are All Right," "The King's Speech," "127 Hours," "The Social Network," "Toy Story 3," "True Grit" and "Winter's Bone."

I've actually seen three of those: "The King's Speech", "The Social Network", and "Toy Story 3", great films all.

My personal favorite would be "The King's Speech", which got 12 Oscar nods including one each for the three main actors, but I kind of expect "The Social Network" to win. "Toy Story 3" was very well done but the odds of the Academy choosing an animated film as Best Picture are pretty slim.
