The IRS Isn't Ready, but Private Industry Is

The other day I posted an item about the delays which will occur for people who itemize deductions on their taxes.  Thanks to the late decision from Congress the IRS isn't ready with the new tax rates and deductions.

Don Surber points out that not all tax preparers are having the same problem:

Turbo Tax is ready. You just cannot eFile until January 6. Apparently that is when the coffee break ends for our Civil Service overlords.

Outsource the collection of taxes to Turbo Tax.

I've used TurboTax for about 20 years now. They've never let me down.  If you prepare your taxes yourself, or would like to using a pretty easy program, you can't go very wrong with TurboTax.
