“This proves AOL News has lost its mind,” said L. Brent Bozell III, president of the Media Research Center. [...]And a bonus quote:
“They must be in such dire straits that they’ve been blinded by the millions and think an acquisition of The Huffington Post is worth sacrificing credibility and objectivity,” Bozell said. "AOL News is fooling only itself in thinking there is no journalistic conflict in merging with a hate-filled, vicious, radically left-wing rag.”
“Yes, she’s got political views, but gosh, look how political views have worked for Fox,” (Rob) Enderle said in an interview. “There’s certainly the opportunity to create a much more powerful liberal voice in the country. The fact that it hasn’t been done yet, doesn’t mean it can’t be done.”Yes, that's what America is clamoring for - a powerful liberal voice.
The only reason HuffPo was able to be worth anything at all is because a bunch of lefties agreed to post articles on the site for free. If Huffington had been required to pay all those people she would have gone bust long ago. There simply is no financially viable market for far left political sites.
If the content on AOL starts heading left, as expected, many people, including me, will cut all paid ties with the company and will just use their free services and let them absorb the cost.

A guy's gotta wonder if all them free-posters will continue.
Shouldn't some of that cash trickle downhill? Anybody wanna bet that it will?
