House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and other Democrats pressed for further federal spending in infrastructure and education programs at an event modeled after a Congressional hearing Wednesday afternoon.I'll tell you what, in honor of Nancy's fake hearing let's give her some fake dollars to spend! Most of the money the government prints nowadays is fake anyway, but we'll just pull some stuff out of the old Monopoly set and let her go to town.
Invited guests included officials from state and local government, as well as representatives from trade associations and labor unions.
Though Pelosi presided over the proceedings and called witnesses, the event was not technically a hearing since only the majority has the ability to order such events.
And I notice that while Congress is in recess Nancy didn't go home to her district but stayed in Washington. I guess it's no fun to fly cross-country when you don't have your own plane anymore.
