The Ron Paul Dumbolution

The official title is "Revolution" with the "evol" emboldened and written backwards so it appears to be "LOVE", but "dumb" works too.  I just don't understand these people.  Dave Wiegel writes about their seeming takeover of CPAC, the annual conservative political conference (especially with two Pauls on the program Ron and son Sen. Rand), and how their arrogance and rudeness have rendered this annual meeting somewhat irrelevant:
Paul and Paul's fans are perhaps the only people in American politics right now who are head over heels in love with their politicians. President Obama's supporters used to have enthusiasm like this, but it's tempered. He's had to disappoint them by governing the country.

The Pauls' adherents can't be disappointed. They got this far, didn't they? And they are unavoidable at CPAC, aren't they? According to Ron Paul's camp, his organization spent about $100,000 on discounted tickets (students could attend for $15 through Campaign for Liberty) and booths. More than 1,000 people here are Paul supporters.

This annoys CPAC organizers, for two reasons. First: Paul's supporters have all the lungs and confidence of fourth-century Christians overwhelming the pagans. They boo loudly and interrupt the "war criminals" and "neocons" that the rest of the crowd spent the last decade venerating. "I led the walkout of Rumsfeld!" claims Ian Saggese, a student at the University of Scranton who got a $15 ticket. (He is wearing a Ron Paul 2012 button.) "I was the first one to shout, 'RON PAUL!' " He describes his politics: "I'm more of a market anarchist than a libertarian, but I know that's not going to happen."

The other annoyance for CPAC brass: The crush of Paul supporters has rendered useless the event's straw poll, once a pretty good barometer to find out who conservatives backed for president. Last year, the first year that Paul's forces really shelled out for CPAC, he won the poll with a 31 percent plurality, nine points ahead of the second-place Mitt Romney. Reporters have already discounted an expected Paul victory tomorrow.
These people would make great cult members because they so firmly believe in their product they cannot be dissuaded by simple things like facts and logic. To some extent, Ron Paul is a cult with slavish adherents who think of themselves as being the answer to every question.

Ron Paul will be 78 years old on election day in 2012, but that has't slowed the support from his sycophants. It never even occurs to them that America is not going to elect a 78-year old over Obama, no matter his policies or political beliefs, and the GOP has no interest in Paul or his band of crazies. Anyone who disagrees with the Paulians in their view deserves a proper berating, whether it be in blog comments, on Facebook, or in person. They've essentially stopped their emotional and intellectual development somewhere in the teen years when they know everything and parents are seen as too stupid to live.

Just watch what happens later today when Paul wins the straw poll.  The jubilant celebration that will break out on Facebook and other social sites will be something to behold.  While most savvy political watchers understand a Paul win in the straw poll renders that annual vote completely irrelevant in determining voter preferences for 2012, the Paulians will celebrate as though it's a sign that America has finally come around to their way of thinking and a Paul presidency is now a sure thing.  It's as entertaining as can be.

Ron Paul will not be president...ever.  And when he leaves this mortal coil I wouldn't be surprised if mass suicides of 20-somethings follow, each with their "R-EVOL-ution" stickers stuck to their foreheads.

However, should he still be with us on the day after the 2012 election, the "Ron Paul 2016" signs are sure to start showing up on the social sites.  After all, if America can't see the wisdom of electing a 78-year old, surely they'll come to their senses when he's 82.  That's the level of logic I've come to expect from the Paulians.

And the NYT, Paul Krugman, WaPo, KOS kids, etc.(lap dog media), will go into ecstasy at the opportunity to say how DUMB the CPACers are--and by extension, Sarah and all Republicans.

You hit the nail on the head!! I posted an article last year on why Ron Paul cannot be President and the Paulites cult inundated my site like a swarm of bees. They seem to be hopeless, brainwashed fools.
