Saving the Cheddar Bay Biscuit

Next time you eat at Red Lobster and enjoy those amazing Cheddar Bay Biscuits you can thank my wife and I.  I think we saved Red Lobster from self-destruction.

Last night we were walking through Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and were invited to take part in a product test. Red Lobster was testing new recipes for their famous biscuits.

My first reaction: NOOOOOOO!!! Don't change a thing!

They gave us three biscuits. I'm pretty sure the first one was the current recipe. It had all the garlic, salt, butter and cheese flavor that makes them irresistable.

The second was basically fluffy library paste. Terribly bland. I took one bite and threw it away.

#3 was somewhere in-between. Too salty and greasy. Mushy consistency. It would be a crime to change the recipe to that mess.

Hopefully, we saved the day and the current recipe and your next trip to Red Lobster will be just as good as the last.

You're welcome.

It isn't April 1 in that time zone, is it?

I can't believe, of all the things they might tinker with, they would tinker with that.
