Keep in mind Rockport is right on the Gulf of Mexico, so the cold arctic air has gone all the way to the Gulf.

Rockport is the home of the annual Rockport Gospel Music Festival, and when we were there in 2010 the temps were in the high 20's and 30's and there were signs of ice around, but nothing like this. This year's trip included weather in the 70's and a tornado.

You never know what you're going to get in January in Rockport.
