After two Florida State Senators sued Governor Rick Scott for what they claimed he “overstepped” his executive authority for rejecting $2.4 billion in federal money for a high-speed rail, the Florida Supreme Court rejected the lawsuit.Well done, Governor Scott.
An hour after the Judge’s decision,, Scott called U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and rejected the money for the rail for a third time.
Scott stood his ground and saved US taxpayers’ money. For that, he proved how much of a fiscal conservative and leader he is.
