Today, Vivian Schiller, CEO of NPR is also gone:
National Public Radio CEO Vivian Schiller resigned Wednesday, according to the organization’s website. This comes the day after tape was released of an NPR senior executive slamming the tea party and saying NPR would be better off without federal funding. It's pretty clear the Board of NPR is trying to save their federal funding by dumping both Schillers (who are not related, by the way). However, the damage has been done and it's unlikely the GOP will consider this an adequate solution to the lefty politicking that comes from NPR.
In a statement, NPR Board Chairman Dave Edwards said, “The Board accepted Vivian’s resignation with understanding, genuine regret and great respect for her leadership of NPR these past two years.”
UPDATE: Rob Schiller, who was caught in the video sting, was supposed to be leaving NPR for a new job with the Aspen Institute. Today the Institute announced that he would not be joining the after all. His comments are likely to follow him for awhile. That guy is damaged goods.

Repubs should stick to their guns and stick it to NPR.
Dismayed at her resignatio¬n and the big deal made over remarks made by Ron Schiller, NPR's vice president for developmen¬t; he is entitled to say what he wants to say when not at work and ironically he works for Public Radio partially supported by public funds in a democracy where we are guaranteed the right to free speech. Both Schiller' should have rolled with the punches. The Tea Partyists are tightly linked to the Koch Brother and John Birch Society. Ron Schiller's hyperbole was closer to the truth than not.
Geez, Atlanta, you need to start reading something other than wacky left sites. The Koch Brothers do not run the Tea Party nor have they had any significant impact. Most Tea Party groups are completely independent of one another. And the John Birch Society quit being a force in politics in the 60's. Only the crazy left falls for conspiracy theories like that.
