Indiana Woman Sues Cruise Line Because She Got Seasick

This is one of those stories that make me wish we had a loser pays tort system:
An Indiana Court of Appeals this week took up the case of a woman who claims she got sick on a Carnival cruise ship because it was going too fast.

According to court documents, Doris Beard of Indiana filed a complaint against Carnival saying that "due to the speed of the ship I became very sick ... the ship was moving so fast everyone on board became sick, even the workers."
This case should have been tossed out long ago. Idiots like this must expect the captain to be able to hold out his arms and cause the sea to become calm.

What? She never heard of ocean waves? OK, she's from Indiana, probably believed everything she saw on The Love Boat was an accurate portrayal, but what about "The Perfect Storm"? Hurricanes hitting Florida and the East Coast. Ships at sea?
