The Crimson River Quartet sings only a few times each year these days (we used to do 50-60 dates a year but quit doing that around 2005), so when we do finally go somewhere it's a lot of fun. However, we seem to have a knack this year for attracting bad weather. In January during our Texas trip we had severe thunderstorms one night that included a tornado just a mile or so from our hotel, and today we're heading down to Chula Vista (in Southern San Diego County) for a 5pm concert in what looks like it will be one of the heaviest storms of this season. That ought to be a fun drive, especially as we're coming home during the worst of it. Let's hope it doesn't scare the good people of Chula Vista away from the concert.
Our next concerts are scheduled in June - wonder what weather calamity will hit that weekend?
