The Kennedys

NOTE:  I'm rerunning this item since the series starts tonight.
===============================
Starting Sunday the REELZ Channel (238 on DirecTV - check your local listings) will run an 8-hour miniseries called "The Kennedys".  What makes this particularly interesting is the series was originally intended for The History Channel but was dropped after complaints from the The Kennedy family, who according to John Ziegler never read the script or saw a single frame of film.

Apparently because the series shows the famous family with warts and all it can't be allowed to be seen.  In addition conservative filmmaker Joel Surnow was also involved in the production, and only glowing portraits devoid of actual history prepared by card-carrying liberals are permitted by the Kennedy family.

John Ziegler saw two hours of the film during a premier event and has a review here at the Daily Caller.  He was very impressed and says the series reflects very well on the Kennedys and their impact on history.

What amazes me is the Kennedys still have any real influence on anybody.  There are no Kennedys in Congress anymore and no one in the family has any actual power over the media or anyone else.  The only thing I can guess is the decision makers at NBC and The History Channel were getting midnight visits from Teddy Kennedys corpulent ghost.

The first 2-hour episode will air at 5pm PDT on Sunday night with additional episodes throughout the week.  There's no better way to strike back at The History Channel's censorship than to give REELZ their best ratings ever.  I'm planning to watch it.

Silly, silly boy. They BOUGHT the myth, and they SOLD the myth (and still do), so they can't abide anything that could destroy The Narrative.

I'll definitely be tuning into this series. Everywhere I've looked for info on this series, there seems to be some type of controversy leading up to it. I'm very interested to see. I'll be viewing from my provider/employer DISH Network, who will be airing the event on channel 299 and in HD! It's awesome to know I'll be part of the millions of DISH subscribers watching this in wonderful HD quality! So excited! :)
